New State-Based Graduate Loan Program Launched
June 2, 2026The Connecticut Higher Education Supplemental Loan Authority (CHESLA) has officially launched the MyCHESLA Grad Loan, a new state-based graduate loan program designed to preserve access to affordable, fixed-rate financing for Connecticut students pursuing advanced degrees following the elimination of the federal Grad PLUS loan program, effective July 1.

Summer Food Service Program to Start in July
May 18, 2026Norwalk Public Schools will participate in the federally funded Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Starting July 6, children 18 years old and under will be able to pick up nutritious meals free of charge.

Earth Day Celebrations in Norwalk
April 17, 2026As you begin spring cleaning, clearing out old medications is an essential step toward a refreshed and safe home. National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, administered by the DEA, will take place on Saturday, April 25. This event provides residents with a free, convenient way to safely dispose of unwanted, unused, or expired medications at local collection sites. The DEA partners with local law enforcement agencies across the United States to host this event in local communities like ours.
