On Saturday, I will join advocates to commemorate the 108th year since the Armenian genocide. We will remember the victims and honor the survivors of that senseless tragedy during a ceremony in the House Chamber at the State Capitol.
Next Wednesday, I will join members of the West Hartford delegation to talk about House Bill 5001 and other proposals that affect intellectual disabilities.
| RECOGNIZING A LOCAL RESTAURANT |
I am proud to support local businesses especially when they’re being recognized for their hard work. On Tuesday, Governor Ned Lamont and I celebrated as the Peruvian restaurant CoraCora in West Hartford was selected as a finalist for the prestigious James Beard Award as the best restaurant in the state.
I am grateful to have met the Ludena family that owns the restaurant and the staff the helps run it. They were all recognized for their tremendous contributions. These are folks who left everything behind in Peru to become U.S. citizens. They started a business that became profitable and successful. Congratulations!
