Dear Neighbor,

"ConneCT & Cut" Event with Secretary of State Stephanie Thomas at Zack's Barbershop
Last week, I joined Secretary of State Stephanie Thomas for her "ConneCT & Cut" Series at Zack's Barbershop to talk  about civic engagement and ways everyday citizens can become more involved with their community and local government.

I thank Zack and his staff for hosting us.

$1.8 Million Grant Awarded to Norwalk

I was pleased to join Governor Lamont and my colleagues, State Sen. Bob Duff, Rep. Dominique Johnson, and Mayor Harry Rilling, to announce a $1.8 million grant to build a new 5,000-square-foot learning center as part of the new affordable housing development next to the recently refurbished Colonial Village apartments.

The learning center will provide after-school programs for ages K-5 to support working parents and caregivers and many other activities to help families.

Mayor's Ball

Lastly, I had the pleasure of attending the Mayor's Ball. This fundraiser helped benefit two incredible organizations, Open Doors and Filling in the Blanks. Both organizations are credited with helping many Norwalk families in their time of need. It was the first in-person ball since the pandemic, and seeing so many people attend a great community event was great.

If you have questions, or ever need any help please don't hesitate to reach out by phone, (800) 842-8267 or email, Kadeem.Roberts@cga.ct.gov

Sincerely,

Kadeem Roberts
