ArrayRx Discount Card
I have some very exciting news to share!
ALL residents of Connecticut will soon become eligible to sign up for an ArrayRx discount card at NO COST to them nor the state. When purchasing prescription drugs, consumers present the card at their pharmacy and they can receive savings of up to 80% on certain medications. All FDA-approved drugs are eligible for a discount.

Eastern CT Corridor and Transit Feasibility Study Presentation
Thank you to the Connecticut Department of Transportation for presenting findings from the Eastern CT Corridor and Transit Feasibility Study. Thank you to the numerous people that came out to stand up and support Shorline East Expansion. (City of New London, Connecticut )

Stand Down 2023
I had the great opportunity to attend STAND DOWN 2023 in Norich, Veterans Rally Point and also at the CTDVA main campus in Rocky Hill, CT. This day offered access to a range of programs and services offered by state and federal agencies, Veterans organizations, and community-based non-profits at several sites across the State.
The sites include:
-Bridgeport: University of Bridgeport, Wheeler Recreational Center, 400 University Ave.
-Bristol: Gregory CCD Center, 1043 Stafford Ave.
-Danbury: Danbury War Memorial 1 Memorial Drive
-Norwich: Easter Seals Veterans Rally Point, 24 Stott Ave.
-Rocky Hill: CTDVA main campus 287 West Street.
Thank you to all the volunteers, venders and staff who made this day at several locations a success.
 
Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
Big "Shout It Out" to Taino Productions LLC Willie & Liz Quinones for the 1st day of Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month downtown City of New London, Connecticut. Thank you to Mayor Michael Passero for helping celebrate the numerous Barbershops that gave over 100 haircuts to the New London Community. Thank you all so much for making the New London Community greater. God bless.
 
New England Air Museum Tour
This week a few members of the CT Black and Puerto Rican Caucus toured the New England Air Museum. We were able to learn about and see some amazing aircraft. Highlight of our trip was to see the Tuskegee Airmen Exhibit. It was great to get a bit more of understanding on how our brothers & sisters protected our country and aced the skies over America.
 
For Corvettes Only Event
I had the great opportunity to attend "For Corvettes Only" who had the biggest Corvette Car show in Eastern Connecticut this past weekend. We were able to check out 250+ Corvettes. Thank you to Mark Christiansen, Dave Sugrue and "For Corvettes Only" for making this incredible event happen.
 
Mashantuck Pequot Tribal Chairman US Department of Treasury Appointment
Big Congratulations To Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Chairman Rodney Butler who was recently appointed to the U.S. Department of the Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee (TTAC). The seven-member committee advises Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen and Department leadership on significant matters impacting Native American communities.
 
2023 MADD Award Winners
Congratulations to Investigator Roland Desnoyers and Officer Michael Jarvis for being recipients of CT 2023 MADD awards. Both Desnoyers and Jarvis were recognized for their outstanding efforts and dedicated work in the area of impaired driving.
Job well done Investigator Desnoyers and Officer Jarvis!
The New London Police Department was also recognized as one of the Top 10 Municipal Departments in CT this year on the back of MADD’s 2023 Law Enforcement Recognition Ceremony t-shirt for our diligent and proactive efforts to reduce drunk and drugged driving. Registration now open for 3 upcoming grant webinars! CT Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities will be offering NEH Grants 101 on Sept. 19 and NEH Grants for Smaller Organizations on Sept. 26, and CT Humanities and Connecticut League of History Organizations will present a Grant Writing 101 Workshop Oct. 3.
