Dear Neighbor,

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic violence is unfortunately a universal issue that impacts people of all ages, genders, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

During this month, we raise awareness and provide support  to victims and survivors. These actions will ensure that the individuals affected by domestic violence will have access to the resources they need.

Over the past five years, my colleagues and I have passed legislation that protects survivors and holds offenders accountable.

Check out the graphics below to learn more.

If you or someone you know requires assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at the Capitol at 1-800-842-1902 or email me at Bob.Godfrey@cga.ct.gov.

Sincerely,

Bob Godfrey
