The Artist ATP Art Exhibition
This week my wife and I were invited to "The Artist ATP" Art Exhibition in New Haven, CT to see the Black Boy Joy Exhibition presented by young artist Ayden Parker. While walking around seeing Ayden's art, he approached my wife and I with a big smile. Ayden presented my wife and I with a piece of art displaying our beloved dog "Queen" who recently passed away.
We were so moved by the thoughts of this young man as we were at a loss of words fighting back tears because of his amazing kindness. If you ever have the chance to visit New Haven, live in New Haven or hear "Ayden Parker" having an event....check him out....share a hi5 and or drop a comment for Ayden sharing and having such an great heart.

Rollin' with Rep. Nolan - Eastern CT Chamber of Commerce
On this week's Rollin' with Rep. Nolan I was joined by Tony Sheridan, president, and Megan Gilbert, vice president, at The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut. The Chamber of Commerce recently moved to New London, and it was great to hear about all of the opportunities they give small businesses at their new facilities, including workstations, high-speed internet, conference areas, and more. I was delighted to hear about all of the ways they are committed to making Eastern Connecticut a thriving business community, particularly for our small businesses, and I look forward to seeing what else they have in store.
For more information from the Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce, you can:
Thanks again to Tony and Megan for joining the show!

Committees Meeting on Small Cities Community Development Block Grants Funding Allotment Plan
This month we had an Appropriations meeting along with the Commerce and Housing Committee and voted on Small Cities Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) Funding Allotment Plan. I was glad to see this get voted out of Appropriations, Commerce and Housing Committees Joint Public Hearing.
The CDBG program is federally funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) but administered at the state level by the Connecticut Department of Housing. Each year, the state develops an allotment plan to distribute these funds, focusing on eligible cities and towns that do not receive direct CDBG allocations from HUD. The funds can be used for various activities, including housing rehabilitation, public facility improvements, and economic development initiatives.

After narrowly avoiding being hit head-on, Officer Sadowski said he had turned his head and watched the manβs car go over a curb, βclimb upβ the utility pole and flip on its roof. He said he turned his car around and pulled into the Hartford HealthCare parking lot, where other drivers had stopped.
Sadowski said the man was upside down in the car, suspended from his seatbelt, with the windows closed.
βAnd he was pretty much purple,β he said, as the man appeared to be suffering from a lack of oxygen.
Sadowski said he and another person went to look for something so they could break the car window. The bystander broke it, and Sadowski brushed away the broken glass. They unlocked the door, unbuckled the manβs seatbelt, pulled him out and rolled him on his side. They checked his breathing.
