Let’s reflect, learn, and continue striving for equity and justice for all. As we celebrate in this month - always remember Black History is everyday not just the month.

The Governor's Budget Proposal
This week, the governor presented his biennial budget proposal. Now, as legislators, it is our responsibility to carefully review it and shape our own budget priorities. I look forward to the months ahead as we work together to find common ground, refine the budget, and ensure it best serves the people of Connecticut, making our state stronger and more inclusive for everyone.

Standing with Black and Latino Contractors
This week we had the great opportunity to stand with the Black and Latino Contractors during a press conference at the LOB. We discussed ongoing concerns around equity and fairness in State Contracting and the results of the recently released Disparity Study. It is very evident there is still need for a bigger fix when it comes to Black & Latino contractors getting an equal share of projects & jobs in CT. Time we make some noise and change legislation in order for this to happen. |

I submitted this bill on behalf of overburdened cities with surrounding towns that lack affordable housing and social services.
