View this email in your browser Dear Neighbor, Hispanic Alliance of Southeastern CT Brilla Ceremony I had the great opportunity to stop by the Hispanic Alliance of Southeastern CT Brilla Ceremony. It was great to see the young woman be recognized for attending the Latin Youth Leadership & Empowerment Program. Thank you to Ninon Guisnassi (Hispanic Alliance of Southeastern Connecticut) for the invite to see hear and meet the young woman talk about thier journey and time spent attending Brilla.  Hearing Youth Voices It was great attending the Hearing Youth Voices & Southeastern Connecticut Community Land Trust Open House for The Youth Housing Project. I am so proud of the work being done by staff and our young adults to, Thank you all for the amazing work bringing these projects to fruition. You all are a great example of how our community works when we work together. Anchor of Hope Music for Life Concert It was great to attend the Anchor of Hope Music for Life concert at the Garde Arts Center. It was inspiring to see the talent and passion coming together in one place. Events like this remind me how powerful music is in bringing people together and lifting up the community. Big thanks to everyone who made it happen! Thank you to Anchor of Hope for your service to the City of New London, Connecticut Visit to The Place for Community Wellbeing I was happy to make it down to The Place for Community Wellbeing. It was a great day for a community Block Party with several community resources tables, activities, food and fun. The place continues to provide great opportunities for our community to come together see and hear about services, have great fellowship and always support those in need. Thank you to Jennifer Muggeo, Stephanie Clark, Ruben Santiago and everyone who came together to make this happen. I look forward to the next.  Ecuadorian Flag Raising I had the honor of attending the Ecuadorian flag raising in the City of New London, Connecticut. It was a wonderful celebration also recognizing community members for their outstanding civic engagement and contributions to our city. It’s always a blessing to come together with friends and neighbors, especially our Ecuadorian community, whose culture, hard work, and spirit help make New London the vibrant place it is.   I was also humbled to receive an incredible piece of art from Meggan Cordero Maria—a beautiful portrait she created of me. I am deeply grateful and honored for such a thoughtful gift.
