Dear Neighbor,
Clip from Appropriations Committee Meeting
Clip of the recent Appropriations Meeting in Hartford. I was able to ask questions of concerns in regards to Education funding and share an opinion on how we look at the issues & emergencies of our residents. How and if we're able to re-evaluate the guard rails and/or volatility cap in order to share more of our surplus to help with the priorities like housing issues, education, homelessness etc etc.

Rollin' with Rep. Nolan - Social Equity Council
On this week's Rollin' with Rep. Nolan, I was joined by Ginne-Rae Clay, the Executive Director for Connecticut's Social Equity Council. The Social Equity Council is part of the adult-use cannabis industry that makes sure people who have been impacted by the war on drugs have an equitable seat at the table. The council has a major presence in the communities they invest in, and has already made such a big impact in Connecticut's emerging cannabis industry. Thanks so much to Ginne-Rae for joining the show!

And welcome to the governor’s nominee for head of the DCF, Jodi Hill-Lilly, who moved to the next step in her confirmation on Friday, garnering approval from Senate leadership after an enthusiastic hearing filled with applause and laughter from dozens of supporters.
