This significant funding is a testament to our district's commitment to providing exceptional educational opportunities for our students. With this grant, we aim to further develop and expand the programs offered at these schools, ensuring that our students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for success.
Recently, I had the privilege of attending the NAACP of Norwalk Freedom Dinner, where I was honored to receive the prestigious Barbara Jean Edmonds Penn Memorial Award. This esteemed recognition is presented to individuals who exemplify a commitment to community service as a way of life.
Being nominated for this award was an incredible honor in itself, but receiving it has left me humbled and deeply grateful. I want to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to the NAACP of Norwalk for presenting me with this award. Community service has always been close to my heart, and it is through collaboration and collective efforts that we can create meaningful change. This award serves as a reminder that our work is not done; there is still much more we can accomplish together.
