Biography

State Representative Eilish Collins Main is a proud first-generation Irish American, longtime resident of Stamford, and working mom to three grown children.

She brings substantial expertise in EdTech management, marketing, and business development to the legislature with 30 years of experience in those respective fields.

Representative Collins Main is an active member of the Stamford community and focused on issues that will not only make Stamford a thriving city for all residents but will benefit Connecticut as a whole. Her top priorities are making the state more affordable, finding solutions to the housing shortage, creating initiatives for college and career readiness, as well as funding schools, early childhood programs, and high-quality childcare.

She has given back to her Stamford community for more than a decade. This work includes volunteering for local organizations like Building One Community, the Police Activities League (PAL) ART program, and the outreach programs at St. Francis Church.

This seat was held by Representative Moira Lyons for 24 years, the first woman Speaker of the House and Representative Collins Main is only the second woman to hold this seat.

Representative Collins Main will serve on the Higher Education & Employment Advancement, Commerce, and Transportation Committees. She is also a member of the Reproductive Rights Caucus.
