Happy Holidays, everyone! The governor is putting a plan in motion to put a $500 million emergency response fund to good use to support residents facing harmful federal cutbacks.

I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving! In a special session, we voted to establish a $500 million federal emergency relief fund to keep vital programs running.

Hundreds of people in New Canaan, Ridgefield, and Wilton rely on SNAP benefits and will need an outpouring of support during the lapse in federal food assistance. Consider making a donation to help our struggling neighbors during the federal government shutdown.

Due to the concerns with ongoing construction on Route 106 in Wilton and New Canaan, a forum is planned Oct. 8 for affected area residents to meet with representatives from Aquarion, Eversource, and Yankee Gas.

I joined the Education Committee to discuss the potential impact of looming federal budget cuts. Connecticut has earned another credit rating boost thanks to sound fiscal management.
