Yesterday I joined my colleagues in support of legislation that would protect honeybees. As pollinators, bees are crucial to our environment. SB 231 would protect Connecticut's pollinators by encouraging the preservation of their habitats while limiting the use of pesticides that are linked to the decline of honeybees.

Hill-Stead Museum Awarded Grant

Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington was recently awarded a $50,000 grant through Connecticut Humanities. The grant will help fund the Museum’s Sunken Garden Poetry Festival.

I've co-sponsored SB 294, An Act Concerning Services for Individuals With Intellectual Disability, to ensure that people with intellectual disabilities who have requested social services are properly informed and updated on the status of their request.
