Last week, I was proud to be joined by my colleagues including Speaker of the House Matt Ritter and Majority Leader Rojas, and representatives from the banking, homebuilding, and realtors associations, to come out in support of HB 6992: An Act Establishing the Homes for CT Loan Program.

The bill establishes the "Homes for CT" loan program, which incentivizes the production of housing units for Connecticut residents.

With the legislative session in full swing, I'd love to know your views on the various issues facing our state. On Wednesday, it was an honor to be sworn in for the fourth time and be in the House Chamber for my seventh Opening Day. Then on Thursday, it was time again to get to work and convene the Banking Committee. I'm looking forward to a productive session.

From my family to yours, I want to take a moment to send my best wishes for the holiday season. May it bring you and your loved ones peace, happiness and time well spent together. Remember that no matter how we celebrate, we also share many blessings. So, in the spirit of the season, please spread the joy that makes this time of the year truly special.

Thanksgiving is Thursday, and the holiday kicks off with more than 11,000 runners competing at the 88th Manchester Road Race at 10 a.m.!

The race starts and ends on Main Street in Manchester. If you're interested in running, you can still register online at manchesterroadrace.com until tonight at 11:59 p.m.

A number of new laws that were passed during the 2024 legislative session will go into effect on October 1.

Several new laws that address many issues aimed at improving our great state become effective today.
