As we all begin to navigate the upcoming virtual legislative session, I wanted to provide you with the resources to ensure your voice is heard. Though COVID-19 has closed the State Capitol and Legislative Office Building to the public, you can still testify and participate in public hearings from your home.

Virtual Hearing 

The transition of power took place in Washington, D.C. today when Joseph R. Biden became the 46^th President of the United States. It was also a historical day as Kamala Harris became the first woman and first woman of Black and South Asian descent to take the oath as our Vice President.

Fairfield Lawmakers – State Representatives Jennifer Leeper (House District 132), Cristin McCarthy Vahey (House District 133) and Laura Devlin (House District 134) issued the following statement about the defacing that occurred at McKinley Elementary School:

The 2021 Legislative Session has officially started, and I am honored to have been sworn in to serve my first legislative term as the State Representative for the 132nd House District, serving Fairfield and Southport.

Jennifer Leeper (D-Fairfield/Southport) was officially sworn in today as the State Representative from the 132nd House District in a morning ceremony outside the State Capitol.
