February is Black History Month, a time when we celebrate the many achievements and contributions Black Americans have made to our country as we continue to reckon with the systemic racism from our past that is still prevalent today.

Governor Ned Lamont announced that, due to an updated weather forecast indicating that this stretch of brutally frigid temperatures Connecticut is experiencing will remain for at least another ten days, he is ordering the duration of the state’s currently enacted Severe Cold Weather Protocol to remain in effect until noon on Thursday, February 5.

Enfield's Water Pollution Control will be cleaning and inspecting sewer mains over the next several weeks. This project will impact streets mostly in the Thompsonville section of town. 

Enfield will be receiving $4 million from the CT Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) Brownfield Remediation and Development Program for hazardous materials abatement and demolition activities at the 73.26-acre site of Enfield Square Mall.

Due to a system outage on Monday, Access Health CT is extending the enrollment deadline. Customers now have until Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 3 p.m. to enroll in coverage beginning January 1, 2026.
