Biography

Frank J. Smith is a lifelong resident of Milford’s West Shore area and a graduate of Milford Public Schools. He has served as a member of Milford’s Inland Wetland Agency, Milford’s Council on Aging, Senior Center Building Committee, and various public organizations and neighborhood groups.

Frank was elected alderman representing the 3rd aldermanic district from 1998-2001 and again from 2011-2021. He also served as Ordinance Committee Chairman and Aldermanic Liaison to the Milford Public Library.

He was first elected State Representative of Milford’s 118th house district in 2020 and was re-elected in 2022. Frank serves on the Environment, Education, and Transportation Committees. He also sits on the Wheelchair Repair Task Force.

Frank and his wife Diane have five children, five grandchildren and live in Milford’s Laurel Beach neighborhood with their dog Rocky.
