These past few weeks have been jam packed with long committee meetings, session days, and press conferences to promote strong pieces of legislation.

Last Thursday, the newly formed End Homelessness caucus held a press conference to outline our legislative priorities. It was an honor to stand with so many individuals who are equally committed to ending homelessness. In addition to Rep. Kadeem Roberts, who is the chair of this caucus, we were joined by a bipartisan group of legislators, as well as representatives from several organizations, including Coalition to End Homelessness, Open Doors, and The Housing Collective.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Hamden Town Hall earlier this month! We had a great discussion about our goals for the legislative session and beyond.

On Tuesday February 4, I will join fellow freshman State Representative Steve Winter for a Town Hall. We want to hear from you! Rep. Winter and I will be available to answer any questions you may have about the legislative process, as well as listen to your concerns about our community.

Democratic State Representative Laurie Sweet was sworn in on Wednesday for her first term. She will represent the 91st district, covering Hamden.
