Early In-Person Voting Guide

The state is gearing up for early in-person voting, which is taking place from Monday, October 21 through Sunday, November 3. It's the first time this voting option is available for a general election in Vernon and the rest of the state.

Any registered voter may cast their ballot during the early voting period.

Click here to register now or ensure your registration is up to date

Registered voters can cast an early ballot at:

  • Vernon Center 375 at 375 Hartford Turnpike from Monday, October 21 – Sunday, November 3 from 10 A.M. – 6 P.M.
  • Vernon Center 375 at 375 Hartford Turnpike on Tuesday, October 29 & Thursday, October 31 from 8 A.M. – 8 P.M.

You may also vote on Election Day, which is Tuesday, November 5, at your polling station. If you are not sure whether you are registered to vote, please visit: https://portaldir.ct.gov/sots/LookUp.aspx.

Talk to your friends and family about registering to vote and ask them what their voting plan is for October and November. Discuss transportation, time off work, or any assistance they might need to cast a ballot. If you chat about those important items and remind them of the importance of their vote, they are more likely to take part in the upcoming election.

Increased Broadband Access Coming to Vernon
The state is spending $28 million to boost broadband access across the state including in Vernon. We will get to use faster and more reliable internet with help from Comcast. A total of 88 communities in our state are benefiting from this investment, which comes from the American Rescue Plan Act.

Expanding broadband access is critical for:

  • Enhancing educational opportunities
  • Fostering economic growth
  • Improving healthcare access through telehealth
  • Connecting more communities and keeping them informed

Local Eagle Scout Installs Monument
Congratulations to Josh Prignano on installing his Eagle Scout project! Josh designed a monument to memorialize the citizen soldiers who left for the Civil War from Vernon Rail Depot. With help from scouts in his Troop 2020 and the Town of Vernon, Josh's fantastic monument came to fruition! Thank you to Josh for helping us tell the story of the everyday people of the Civil War.
