We got a lot of work done in the House this week, including passing legislation that protects our kids on social media and strengthens laws for survivors of sexual assault and trafficking.

This week was one of the busiest of the legislative session. In the House, we passed a slew of bills addressing everything from firefighter healthcare to warehouse worker's rights to establishing the International Trade Commissions Commission.

We must take dramatic, but responsible, action in order to protect our climate. Connecticut is increasingly feeling the impacts of climate change. This week, I had the pleasure of being part of the group of legislators that voted for a practical, affordable climate bill.

With the final month of session almost here - it is crunch time for my fellow lawmakers and I at the capitol. Next week the House of Representatives will meet three times to vote on legislation we've been drafting for months.

The UCONN Huskies have done it again! Congrats to the women's basketball team for taking home the 2025 NCAA Tournament Championship. This weekend, you can be part of the celebration in downtown Hartford, honoring the team for securing the school's 12th national title.

The weather today was gorgeous, but the wet stuff will be with us for a bit beginning tomorrow. Hello spring! We're at the back end of the 2025 legislative session, and we've got a lot of work to do before we close on June 4th. I'll keep you posted on what we're doing in Hartford, especially bills I am supporting that will benefit the 41st.

As we near the halfway point of the legislative session, today marks a key milestone: the Joint Favorable (JF) deadline for the Environment Committee. This is the last day for the committee to advance bills it intends to send forward in the legislative process.
