March 15, 2024I hope you are all doing well. Warmer temperatures are here and so is March Madness! We're also in the midst of the 2024 legislative session, a short one, ending on May 8th. We have a lot more work to do in a short period, and we will do it. I was happy to see HB 5001, a bill in support of protecting our seniors, is moving right along. I have included some news specific to the constituents of the 41st district as well.

March 8, 2024I attended several committee meetings and public hearings all in the interest of serving you and making our community even better. A thank you to those who came out to my Coffee Hour at the Ditty Bag on Saturday. I am already looking forward to next month's event. March 1, 2024The beginning of March means the end of the 2024 session is less than 70 days away. While I have been hustling to public hearings and committee meetings and working to pass legislation that will help make life for the constituents of the 41st district a little easier, I am slowing down this Saturday for my monthly Coffee Hour at the Ditty Bag.

February 16, 2024We are in the middle of February and the midst of the 2024 session, a short one that ends on May 8th. I had an Environment Committee meeting today and traveled to Massachusetts State House for a summit with Black elected legislators in New England. It was an honor and privilege to represent Connecticut and specifically, Southeastern, CT!

February 9, 2024The 2024 legislative session has officially begun! It was wonderful to reconnect with friends and colleagues in the House Chamber. We were joined by many local guests including Stonington First Selectman Danielle Chesebrough and the leadership of the Mystic Aquarium.

February 2, 2024On Monday, I met with the Southeastern Connecticut Council of Governments to discuss their legislative priorities. As a member of the Environment Committee, I look forward to collaborating with our municipal leaders to tackle our solid waste crisis, especially developing a plan to divert organic materials from our waste stream to composting facilities.
