Educator Carolyn Highsmith has been selected as Waterbury's 2026 African American Mayor for a Day. 

Please join us for a Black History Month celebration in recognizing Carolyn at Waterbury City Hall, 236 Grand St., on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m.

There will also be an evening program at the Hopkins Street Center, 34 Hopkins St., at 6 p.m.
