Tackling Prescription Drug Costs

April 1, 2019

Connecticut residents have expressed their frustration at the effects of rising prescription drug costs, so we heard your concerns and proposed HB 7174.

The bill was recently moved out by the Insurance and Real Estate Committee to be considered by the entire House this session.

This legislation hopes to address the high cost of drugs by protecting small pharmacies and consumers, discouraging anti competitive practice, and creating a task force to study other feasible importing options. These are some of the ways we hope to achieve our goal.

It is high time that we make prescription drugs more affordable and accessible for all Connecticut residents.

I want to hear your thoughts and suggestions on how can we address your concerns regarding high prescription costs.
