Local Non-profit gets state funds

June 21, 2019

I am pleased to see that Person to Person, a community agency that provides basic goods and services for those in need will be receiving $250,000 in state funding. Their commitment to our community providing basic needs is admirable.

My support of Person-to-Person before I was in the legislature by doing doing donations of food and other aspects of things that people need. This grant is really is going to families who need it in our area, and we want people who work in our area to live in our area, and grants like this really will help. This funding will allow P2P to continue to provide services to individuals and families throughout lower Fairfield County, offering critical support as they work towards economic stability.

It was an exciting day, joining my colleagues, Senators Duff and Haskell making the announcement at their Darien facility. Congratulations!!! Here is a news story with more details.
