In these uncertain times, it is even more crucial that we stay in touch and communicate how federal government policy, climate change, and global unrest are impacting our community and our households. Risky policies like trade tariffs, tax cuts for the ultrawealthy, and repealing the Affordable Care Act tax credits and subsidies in D.C., are adding economic pressure here at home.

Survivor’s Justice Act: trauma informed sentencing for survivors of gender-based violence, sexual assault, trafficking, stalking survivors
Universal school meals and child tax credit
Fairer income tax and wealth tax reform to protect revenue for maintaining essential services
Medicaid and nonprofit reimbursement rate increases for providers, hospitals, long-term care facilities
