Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I hope you are feeling the holiday cheer as we find ourselves in the midst of December, a time when the air is filled with the spirit of the season. The twinkling lights, festive decorations, and joyful atmosphere remind us of the importance of community and coming together. As your representative, I wanted to take a moment to reach out and connect with you during this special time of year.

In the spirit of transparency and open communication, I believe it's crucial to keep you informed about my recent activities. Over the past week, I've been actively engaged in various initiatives aimed at addressing the needs and concerns of residents. From attending community outreach events to participating in legislative discussions, every action has been driven by our shared vision for a better future.

As we continue through this holiday season, let's remember the importance of unity and coming together as a community. It's during these times that we can support one another, uplift those in need, and spread joy and kindness. I encourage you to explore opportunities to connect with fellow community members through volunteering or local events. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of those around us.

Please remember that my office is always here to support you. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions about the issues impacting our community, please don't hesitate to email me directly or call me at (203) 397-6167.

Stamford All-School Musical
I had the pleasure of attending Stamford All-School Musical's production of Legally Blonde The Musical last weekend. This captivating show was filled with laughter, amazing music, and unforgettable performances that left me both inspired and thoroughly entertained.

I want to give a special shoutout to the students involved in this production, who dedicated countless hours to rehearsing, perfecting their performances, and bringing this Broadway hit to life. Their passion and talent were demonstrated in every scene, making this a fantastic event for our community.

Stamford Charter School for Excellence Recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School
On Wednesday, I had the privilege of attending a celebration for the Stamford Charter School for Excellence, which was recognized as a 2023 National Blue Ribbon School. This prestigious honor is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and exceptional achievements of the school's students, teachers, and staff.

Being recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School is a tremendous accomplishment. It signifies that the Stamford Charter School for Excellence has achieved exceptional academic success and has made significant progress in bridging the achievement gaps among its students.

During the celebration, I had the opportunity to witness firsthand the vibrant learning environment of the school. The enthusiasm and passion exhibited by the students were truly inspiring. It was evident that they are receiving an education that nurtures their talents, fosters critical thinking skills, and prepares them for future success.

Meeting with Election Officials
I had the opportunity to meet with Connecticut Secretary of State Stephanie Thomas and a wide range of local election officials earlier this month. We spent the afternoon discussing the impact of the most recent changes to our state's election system. We also discussed their upcoming priorities ahead of our next legislative session.
Our election officials are the functional backbone of our democratic process. I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all of our dedicated local election officials in Stamford. Our community is fortunate to have such diligent public servants, and I am grateful for their vital role in safeguarding our democratic foundations.

    Veterans Corner: Healthcare
The Department of Veterans Affairs recently announced that all World War II veterans will be eligible for free healthcare, medical services, and nursing home care.
This means that these veterans will no longer have to worry about copayments, enrollment fees, or monthly premiums, regardless of their disability ratings or priority groups within the VA health system.

    ArrayRx Update
ArrayRx was part of PA 23-171, otherwise known as "An Act Protecting Patients and Prohibiting Unnecessary Health Care Costs," which I strongly supported during the 2023 legislative session. Today, I'm pleased to share that since registration for the program opened, over 12,000 Connecticut residents have enrolled in this prescription drug discount program.

To sign up, simply enter your name, email address, birthday, home address, and zip code on the ArrayRx website. After registering, you will be emailed a digital discount card.

The Office of the State Comptroller released its full ArrayRx enrollment list by city/town. Click here to see how many people in Stamford have already signed up.

    A Special Hanukkah Message
Today marks the last day of Hanukkah, and I wanted to take a moment to wish you a joyous and meaningful conclusion to this beautiful holiday.
Hanukkah is a time of celebration, reflection, and unity for our Jewish community. As the final candle is lit on the menorah tonight, I hope you cherish the messages of hope, resilience, and the triumph of light over darkness that this holiday represents.
