Dear Neighbor,

Election Day is right around the corner. To make sure you are prepared to cast your ballot, I encourage you to check out the Secretary of the State's Voter Fact Sheet. This website is a helpful resource for all voters - you can check your voting status, get information on how to register for the first time, find your polling location, and more!

Connecticut law allows you to receive an absentee ballot if you cannot appear at your assigned polling place on Election Day because of active service in the military, absence from the town in which you are eligible to vote, sickness, religious tenets that forbid secular activity on the day of the election, duties as an election official at a polling place other than your own during all of the hours of voting, or physical disability. To receive your absentee ballot, please complete, sign, and submit an application, which can be accessed here
Connecticut residents now have the option to vote early thanks to a state Constitutional amendment approved by a wide majority of voters in 2022. Early voting provides more flexibility and access to cast your vote with the confidence that your voice is heard and your civic duty is fulfilled, while avoiding large crowds and scheduling conflicts.

For the upcoming general election, early voting will take place from 10am - 6pm on October 21 to November 3 and from 8am – 8pm on October 29 and 31.

New Haven's early voting location will be the second floor meeting room in City Hall. Click here or call  203-946-8035 if you have any additional questions.

For more information about early voting,  please read or click on the graphics below.

Sincerely,

Patricia Dillon
