During 2023 Legislative Session, we successfully passed legislation that protects and supports individuals in the state who are in the twilight years of their life. Unfortunately, as the elderly population steadily rises, scam attempts against that community also increases. To help shield our older residents from being victimized, we passed PA 23-161.

As one of the co-authors of HB 5001, which along with SB 1 and SB 2 was one of three historic and sweeping children’s mental health bills passed in 2022 by the Connecticut General Assembly and signed into the law by Gov. Ned Lamont one year ago this week, I want to ensure funding is in the upcoming biennial budget to continue to implement the most important aspects of these groundbreaking bills.

The State has launched a grant program to help hospitality businesses recover from COVID-19.

Connecticut has launched a reproductive rights telephone hotline and website to provide assistance to those seeking factual information on abortion and to connect them to reliable services and resources.
