April 20, 2023We are more than halfway through the regular session, and this is the time of year when legislative activity picks up in the Connecticut General Assembly.
After weeks of holding public hearings, the Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee and Appropriations Committee approved their budget proposals (Appropriations handles the spending side and Finance handles the revenue side).

Expanded Access to Health Coverage for Personal Care Attendants
March 16, 2023Personal care attendants (PCAs) will have additional access to affordable health insurance after an agreement was reached to expand the application deadline for PCAs to apply for the first round of the new premium assistance benefit.
Energy Assistance and Policy Forum
March 15, 2023Please join me at the Bristol Public Library on April 5th from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm for a conversation on energy assistance programs that are provided to our neighbors in need and what we are doing at the legislature to address the rising energy costs.
