The mental health and well-being of our state's youth and families has been a leading priority of mine. While we saw a rise in depression, anxiety, self-harm, and other forms of distress in young people prior to the pandemic, the increased isolation and uncertainty that has come from the past two years has exacerbated this issue.

Breeze Airways has selected Bradley International Airport to establish its fifth base of operations. This move will create over 200 local jobs - the airline will hire local pilots, flight attendants, and mechanics; and fly new routes. Additionally, Breeze will permanently house their aircrafts at the airport. This is a great victory for Connecticut - this move not only will provide local residents with employment opportunities, but it expands the state's connection to other places around the country. Welcome!

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, and Interval House is making a new toolkit available to schools and parents with free educational resources in English and Spanish.
