It was great to hear from everyone at the Bridgeport Delegation's legislative forum. It is an honor to represent you and I can only do this effectively if I know your needs, making events like these among the most important that I attend.

Bridgeport Residents should be excited. We will be seeing a new minor league soccer team come to our city, with a brand new stadium coming with it. The new team, Connecticut United Football Club, will be owned by local tech entrepreneur Andre and Michelle Swanston, who are working with MLS NEXT Pro, the Major League Soccer's development league.

This will be a great economic opportunity not just for Bridgeport, but for the rest of Connecticut as well. Connecticut has some of the most passionate sports fans in the world, so having our own local team will embolden that passion even more.
