On my run this morning, I listened to a podcast interview with Adam Grant, an organizational psychologist and professor at the Wharton School, who has a new book out: Think Again: The Power of Knowing What You Don’t Know.  . 

I lived my day backwards yesterday, starting with the party, and ending with work. 
 

Happy National Puppy Day! (Isn’t every day National Puppy Day? Says my eternal puppy, Nelly, who does not understand why we aren’t outside playing frisbee all day long.)

As we sprint headlong into our committee deadlines, most of which expire next week, there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes to negotiate specific bill language in order to maximize support for them.

We were in session today, voting as usual from our offices in the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.  The matters before us all had urgency from a timing perspective.

Spring is peeking out at us this week, beckoning us all outside, and there was also news in the last few days suggesting that indoor gatherings, particularly for those who have been vaccinated, are becoming safer, as the CDC has suggested
