Governor Ned Lamont, Attorney General William Tong, and a cross section of state agency commissioners are seeking accountability from Prospect Medical Holdings after it recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Our state government is working to ensure there is no disruption of services while seeking accountability at Rockville General, Manchester Memorial Hospital, and Waterbury Hospital.  All three hospitals are open to patients with no plans to close, and staff members will continue to be paid.

These community hospitals are a vital part of our community and will continue to provide safe care.  Residents should continue to seek treatment from the hardworking and dedicated medical professionals at these facilities.

The state plans to step up inspections and consider an on-site monitor at Manchester Memorial and Rockville General.
