Standing Up With Public Libraries
I was thrilled to join my colleagues, Mayor Rilling and area library leaders to discuss a new state law aiming to prevent book bans in the state. As libraries nationwide recognize Banned Books Week, drawing attention to efforts to censor and limit public availability of literature, and as book challenges grow in communities around the United States, I’m proud to stand firmly on the side of intellectual freedom and public access to information.
