Windham/Willimantic Delegation Discusses Town Needs with Town Council
Yesterday I joined State Representative Linda Orange (D-Windham) and State Senator Mae Flexor (D-Windham) for a meeting with the Windham Town Council to discuss some of the issues facing the town and how the delegation can help.
It was a good discussion with recommendations from the Town Council. We heard about the issues facing Windham and we hope to present bills on the topics council members raised.
Many of the concerns we discussed related to stimulating economic development, securing funding to repair town building façades, highway tolls, Windham/Willimantic Fire and EMS dispatching, affordable housing, protecting the environment and public education.
