Dear Neighbor,

I am excited to share that during the 2025 Legislative session, I secured a $6.8 million funding increase for Manchester in fiscal years 2026 and 2027 from the state's biennial budget. Manchester will receive a total of $64,878,064 in FY26 and a total of $65,061,975 in FY27.

We delivered an increase of $5.5 million to the Manchester Public Schools over the next two fiscal years in the Education Cost Sharing (ECS) grant. In the Biennial Budget passed this year, we made historic investments in special education, including new funding through the new Special Education and Expansion Development (SEED) grant. Manchester will receive $640,019 each fiscal year in SEED Grants. These grants will help build capacity to serve students closer to home.

Manchester Parks & Recreation will receive $1.3 million in new funding for park improvements. The town will also receive new funding through a $75,000 Youth Service Prevention grant to support town programs. This year, the Bond Commission approved an additional $25 million in funding for the Crumbling Foundations Assistance Fund, which the Connecticut Foundation Solutions Indemnity Company will use to help repair crumbling concrete foundations in Manchester and surrounding towns.

The increase in funding for Manchester is a huge win for our community and residents. While there is uncertainty about funding coming from the federal government, here in Connecticut, I was proud to work alongside my colleagues and deliver funding for programs and services in our town that are essential to residents. This funding represents your tax dollars being reinvested in Manchester to support our community. I am proud to represent Manchester, and it remains one of my top priorities to deliver the funding our town needs to support residents.
