CIF 2030 Board Approves Funding for New Downtown Manchester Library
March 12, 2024
The Community Investment Fund 2030 Board (CIF) approved $3.5 million for a new downtown library on Tuesday, which is a landmark victory for the people of Manchester.
The Manchester delegation was proud to deliver more than $5 million for this project last year, and to now get another $3.5 million means better educational opportunities and a reduced property tax burden for Manchester families.
As part of the “Downtown for All” project, the 21st Century Library was supported by local residents, who overwhelmingly voted in favor of a new facility in a 2022 referendum. With the aid of CIF funds, Manchester will build a modern, accessible, downtown library.
