Dear Neighbor,

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday filled with happiness, good health, memories, and laughter. We are thankful to call the great State of Connecticut home. Happy Thanksgiving from the CT House Democrats and from my family to yours. 

Thanksgiving 2025 marks the 89th Manchester Road Race, one of Downtown Manchester's busiest days of the year. If you have holiday travel plans, be prepared for road closures around Main Street and in the Downtown area. 

Road Closure Information

  • Main Street closes at 5:30 am and remains closed until approximately 11:30 am
  • All roads intersecting the race course will be closed at 9:00 am; it will not be possible to enter or leave the interior of the race course during the race
  • Exit ramps from I-384, adjacent to the race course, will be closed from 9:00 - 11:30 am
    • Westbound: Exit #5 (Old Exit #4)  - Highland St and Exit #4 (Old Exit #3)  - Charter Oak St
    • Eastbound: Exit #4 (Old Exit #3) - Main St and Exit #5 (Old Exit #4) - Wyllys St
  • Normal traffic should resume sometime after 11:30 am
