FEMA Approves $300 grant for unemployed in Connecticut
The Federal Emergency Management Agency approved a grant Monday that would allow unemployed workers in Connecticut to collect an additional $300 a week in federal assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The grant approval comes several weeks after the $600 of weekly assistance to unemployed approved by Congress in the CARES Act lapsed amid failed partisan negotiations. You can read more about it in the Hartford Courant here.
