Today! Requests for SNAP replacement benefits due

September 3, 2020
To accommodate SNAP households that experienced food loss due to the power outages caused by Tropical Storm Isaias, ALL SNAP households automatically received 20% of their August benefit Wednesday, September 2, 2020. There is no action required to receive this benefit.

For households that wish to claim more than 20% food loss instead, individual requests can be submitted to the CT Department of Social Services (DSS) by TODAY, September 3, 2020. Requests require submission of two forms to demonstrate proof of food loss. Households that submit an individual request will be excluded from the automatic benefit. This request MUST be received by DSS no later than 4:30pm today, so submit in person or through your MyAccount online.

You can access both forms, in English and Spanish, by clicking the button below.
