There have been issues over the years that I have focused on in order to reform the system to better serve the people. I am looking forward to working closely with our leaders in the upcoming session on behalf of my constituents in Hartford and the whole state.

When the Speaker of the House is absent from the chamber, the Deputy Speaker presides over the House of Representatives, recognizes all members wishing to speak to the chamber, puts all questions to vote and directs legislation to the proper committees.
