Restaurant Recovery Grant

A new federally-funded grant program – a helping hand to bars and restaurants and other local businesses – will start cutting checks right around New Year's Eve.

Many of you have let me know that you support additional financial assistance for the restaurant industry. I know the extraordinary challenges our local small businesses have faced during this difficult time. It is my hope that this funding will be one more tool to help get them through as we look forward to recovery.

The $10,000 to $30,000 grants are funded by the second federal stimulus package. Approximately 1,500 to 2,000 small and mid-size businesses that have been hurt by the pandemic will receive funds.
We have seen our local businesses step up during the pandemic and put public health over profit. They need our help and I will continue to advocate on their behalf because the crisis isn't over.
