As some of you may know, I have been involved in public service for many years. I served on the Hartford City Council from 2015 up until the morning I was sworn into the House of Representatives. In my new role, I plan to visit several neighborhoods in-person to answer your questions and listen to your concerns so I can better represent you.
I want to bring positive change to the 6th Assembly House District, and I’m thankful you have the confidence in me to do so. Here is a list of my legislative priorities to improve our community.
- Strongly advocate for a robust amount of state funding that can go toward revitalization projects
- Upgrading sidewalks, lighting, and streetscapes in Barry Square, Behind the Rocks, Southwest, and South Meadows
- Finding new ways to reduce taxes for working and middle class families
- Creating equitable, affordable, and quality access to healthcare
- Creating affordable and equitable pathways for higher education
- Improving and implementing educational programs to ensure our children are graduating at a high success rate and thriving in English, Writing, Reading, and Math
- Remediating the MIRA property in the South Meadows neighborhood for the reclamation and development for the city and its residents
You should be receiving a mailer in the coming weeks. I urge you to fill it out so I can be better informed on your priorities. I am committed to responding to all emails, texts, and calls for help and strive to be as responsive as possible. I will always advocate for legislation that directly addresses your concerns. |
