Some Connecticut residents who recently lost federal nutrition assistance will receive a $300 grocery store gift card though a new state-funded program. More than 200 attractions will offer free or discounted admission on CT Open House Day.

We produced a 2027 budget providing more than $300 million in relief for cities, towns, and schools. We also passed two pieces of legislation to position Connecticut as a national leader in protecting residents in the digital age.

We passed a bill making meaningful investments in our workforce including support for police, firefighters, veterans, nurses, teachers, and much more.

The House passed a bill to strengthen, modernize, and protect our democracy to ensure voting is safe, secure, and accessible. The annual Puerto Rican Parade in Hartford is returning to downtown Hartford.

The House recently passed legislation to strengthen Connecticut’s tire stewardship program by requiring retail stores to fully participate by July 1, 2027.

There are free, reliable services available for those filling taxes before the deadline. I will host a vibrant community fair highlighting free programs and services in the Hartford area.
