The Hartford community continues to strengthen its deep ties with the Dominican Republic by celebrating its rich culture, history, and contributions. And it's never been easy to visit the island nation now that Bradley Airport offers a direct flight to Punta Cana.

We passed legislation providing tax relief for veterans who are 100% permanently and totally disabled due to their military service. I also voted for a measure bringing $2.3M to Hartford Public Schools in special education.

You're invited to a public hearing hosted by the Veterans' and Military Affairs Committee where they will discuss proposals including property tax exemptions, no-cost driver's license renewals, and affordable housing for disabled and elderly veterans.

I have been crafting new legislation that will help the people of Connecticut. They tackle issues such as electricity rates, recycling, job training, and more.

The City of Hartford will receive $1 million in state funds to improve public safety on the Maple Avenue Streetscape and to upgrade the Goodwin Park Entrance.

Connecticut is taking a major step in trying to help people pay their student loans. The state plans on launching a pilot program for Student Loan Reimbursement on January 1, 2025.
