On my weekly public affairs show, “Let’s Talk About It,” my co-host Dennis O’Brien learned more about all the wonderful programs the Town of Windham Recreation Department offers in our community. Tara Calixto, the Recreation Director of the Town of Windham Recreation Department Staff, gave a rundown of all the facilities at the Windham Recreation Center.

Now that summer is here, folks can take advantage of the pool. The Rec Center offers lap swimming every day starting at 6 am, a recreational adult swim typically at noon, and a family swim in the evenings. Swim lessons are also available. The Splash Park and Waterfront at Lauter Park are open seven days a week.

The Windham Community Center also offers a fitness gym, adult volleyball, pickleball, and so much more. It costs $10 per month if you are a Windham resident and $20 for anyone who lives outside of town.
