On my weekly public affairs show, “Let’s Talk About It,” we learned how small businesses can get help with health insurance, and we dug deeper into how Windham is benefiting from our work during the legislative session.
 
We spoke with John Carbone, who is the Director of SHOP and Product Development at Access Health CT. He provided more insight on how Access Health CT helps small businesses find the best and most affordable medical insurance plan that fits their needs. He also explained that small businesses can obtain coverage for all income levels.

In the second half of the show, we discussed the impacts of the 2023 legislative session, which includes an increase of $4.7 million in funding for Windham Public Schools. The district will spend the money to make classroom sizes smaller, to provide equitable pay for teachers, and to increase resources for students whose home language in not English.
