Dear Neighbor,
This Monday, January 5th, I was proud to join Congressman John Larson, State Senators MD Rahman and Saud Anwar, State Representatives Kevin Brown, Patrick Biggins, Cristin McCarthy Vahey, and Comptroller Sean Scanlon to celebrate the Hartford Healthcare acquisition of Manchester Memorial Hospital. This marks a new beginning for our local hospital and will bring new healthcare opportunities and improvements to Manchester.
Manchester Memorial Hospital has been a resource for Manchester residents and the surrounding area for decades. Families rely on Manchester Memorial Hospital for healthcare services daily and in times of critical need. Under Hartford Healthcare, the hospital will have new possibilities to improve and strengthen services.
Hartford Healthcare plans to invest in Manchester Memorial Hospital and the campus at Rockville General Hospital to fund new doctors and nurses, improve cancer care services, and bring in new advanced technology. These changes and many others will be felt across the community and will bring relief after the uncertainty about the hospital's future under the previous owner.
Manchester Memorial Hospital has served our community for years, and with the support of Hartford Healthcare, the hospital will prioritize local, community care. I am confident that under Hartford Healthcare's ownership, our hospital will be able to grow and thrive.
Hartford Healthcare's acquisition of Manchester Memorial Hospital is a major win for the entire Manchester community and nearby towns. This marks a significant step forward for healthcare in our region of the state and ensures Manchester Memorial Hospital is a reliable, accessible resource for decades to come.
