Alzheimer’s Association - 2026 Advocacy Day at the State Capitol

March 11, 2026

I joined the Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association for their 2026 Advocacy Day at the State Capitol.

As many of you know, my mother, Jacqueline Reis, passed away from Alzheimer’s disease in May 2020. Since that experience, I have become an even stronger supporter of measures that help individuals living with this devastating disease and the families who care for them.

This year, advocates are asking lawmakers to support several important initiatives, including mandating insurance coverage for biomarker testing, expanding support services for individuals living with Alzheimer’s, and strengthening resources for caregivers.

Alzheimer’s affects far too many families in our communities. I’m proud to stand with advocates working to ensure patients and caregivers receive the care, support, and resources they deserve.
