The Connecticut Family Support Network is partnering with Executive Leadership and its CEO, Atneciv Rodriguez, to host “Tax Tips for Families with Disabled Dependents.”
This free workshop will help families better understand how to navigate the tax system while protecting important disability benefits. Participants will learn how to:

Maximize tax benefits and credits, including the Child and Dependent Care Credit, the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), and medical expense deductions.

Understand special tax considerations, including how programs like Supplemental Security Income and tools like ABLE accounts interact with tax filing and benefits eligibility.

Plan financially for the future, including strategies such as Special Needs Trusts and ABLE savings options that help families prepare for long-term care without jeopardizing government assistance.
